Amel





It was twilight in Gaza


The sun was sad, the rock, the
bird, me and you


The only thing I could do was just
crying


Thinking about that young girl
called Amel


She used to write everything on her
diary


She used to sit near her window,
she wrote


Every time a bullet came by her
window, wrote


And when they killed everyone she
loved, she wrote


She’s the Palestinian girl, she
just died while writing


But after all … when she died she
felt secure


Because now she’s safe. yes, she
is…………
